A free event is heading to London on Thursday 23rd January, kickstarting Cadbury's Easter promotional work - and it's FREE to attend.

The event - branded EATertainment LIVE! - will see a 24-hour event covering all things Creme Egg. The event runs from Thursday to Friday and is free to attend, although you need to reserve tickets online beforehand. It'll also be live streamed on Cadbury’s Facebook page as well as in London's Leicester Square.

This eggs-cellent event (sorry) is pipped to be the longest ever social-eating live stream. Cadbury will be giving away prizes for a variety of categories, including the "most romantic devour" as well as the "best action-packed chow".

The event is designed not only to promote the start of the annual Creme Egg season but also to launch the new EATertainment content platform, a streaming hub celebrating the many weird and wonderful ways to eat a Cadbury Creme Egg.

Found on eBay

Oh, and in case you are sat there thinking there aren't that many ways to eat a Creme Egg, the Cadbury recipe boffins plan to blow your mind. Expect to find a diverse range of creations available to try, including Creme Egg Curry, Creme Egg Toad in the Hole, Scotch Creme Eggs, Creme Egg Brownies, and even Creme Egg Spaghetti and Meatballs. I kid you not. Fingers crossed they offer a Creme Egg Hot Chocolate too.

You can get your free tickets here.

If, like me, you're keen on some Cadbury Creme Egg experimentation but cannot get to London on Thursday, you might want to consider buying The Cadbury Creme Egg Cookbook° (ISBN: 0008356874 / 9780008356873; RRP: £9.99). This handy new book was launched earlier this month and contains 60 recipe ideas, each made using the humble Cadbury Creme Egg.

Should you suddenly have the urge to bulk-buy a crate of Cadbury Creme Eggs for recipe experimentation, Amazon is your friend° and so is Cadbury Gifts Direct°. So you know, the RRP of a Creme Egg this year is £0.58, with packs of five Creme Eggs available for £2.85 and a dozen for £6.68.

If you attend EATertainment LIVE! 2020, please do share your thoughts on your experience in the comments below.
