Fortnum & Mason has donated what it calls "the world's largest chocolate hamper" to help raise funds for Great Ormond Street Hospital (GOSH).
The bumper F&M hamper, worth £1,500, is called The Ultimate Chocolate Hamper, and there's a very good reason for that. This limited-edition golden wicker basket contains a taster of EVERY chocolate product sold at the London department store!

So, it includes everything from Marc de Champagne Truffles and hot chocolate, through to ruby chocolates, and their new caramel, praline, and ganache-filled loose chocolates. It even includes the Heinz Baked Bean Truffle as well as diverse options such as Oud Caramel and Welsh Rarebit.
The Fortnum & Mason Ultimate Chocolate Hamper was donated to Great Ormond Street Hospital and will be auctioned off in the charity's 20th anniversary Christmas carol concert. The concert will take place on Tuesday 10th December 2019 at St Paul's Church in Knightsbridge, with a special reception taking place at The Berkley five-star hotel. Tickets for the concert and reception are available here (adults from £45; children from £25).

If you have a sweet tooth and can move fast, you too could be the proud owner of the limited-edition golden F&M basket and be the envy of all your friends. Fortnum & Mason has created just four additional Ultimate Chocolate Hampers which are available on a first-come, first-served basis. This particular gift hamper is not available to purchase online so you'll need to contact F&M directly to order one. If I could, I'd snap one up!
Should you fancy a look at the other food hampers that this Piccadilly institution has to offer this Christmas, you can browse the extensive selection of over 100 different Fortnum & Mason hampers on their website°. Prices range from the £15 'Hamperling' to the £6,000 Imperial hamper.
