A HISTORIC property in York is marking Chocolate Week with a number of chocolately events.

Goddards - the Grade I-listed former home of Noel Goddard Terry - will have chocolate talks, chocolate tastings and the chance to design your own Terry's chocolate box.  There will also be chocolate trails around the impressive property which at one time served as a working chocolate factory.

Noel Goddard Terry was the grandson of Terry's founder Joseph Terry and is credited with coming up with the Chocolate Orange and Terry's All Gold after he joined the family business.

This year's Chocolate Week runs from October 13th - October 19th and National Trust-operated Goddards will be open from the 15th - 19th.
