Travel, much like many other sectors of the economy, has felt the full force of government-imposed Coronavirus (COVID-19) restrictions, leading to a sharp decline in demand. For most of us travel lovers, we're eager to get back to what we know and love.

Club Med, a luxury all-inclusive holiday specialist, has unveiled its latest plan to entice ski-loving chocoholics back to the slopes this Christmas.

That's right - a VIP Chocolate Orange inspired hotel room at its La Rosière Ski Resort, nestled in the shadow of Mont Blanc in France.

The double room features Chocolate Orange bedding, a segment headboard, and even a Christmas tree decorated with Chocolate Orange baubles. "If the tree looks a little bare by the time you head home, we'll understand," says Club Med.

The vivid blue and orange décor is just the start of it. The chocolate-themed hotel room comes with room service of Chocolate Orange themed treats such as Chocolate Orange hot chocolate, a Chocolate Orange cocktail, and orange chocolate truffles. Personalised stockings await you, filled with, yep, you guessed it, more Chocolate Orange goodies. To allay fears of running out of chocolate, Club Med states that supplies will be restocked during your stay. Phew!

If you're staying in the Chocolate Orange room you'll want everyone to know, and you'll want to share the experience on Instagram and social media. It's a good thing then that Club Med will kit you out in custom Chocolate Orange skis to shred on the slopes in style.

Perhaps the strangest aspect to the room is the inclusion of orange chocolate scented toilet roll? That's certainly attention to detail, and "a treat for all your senses" reckons Club Med.

The La Rosière Ski Resort, dubbed "the balcony of the Tarentaise ski," is nestled 1,900 metres above sea level in the French Alps. The resort boasts slopes for all abilities making it an ideal location for family ski holidays. There's also snowboard lessons, winter sports, walks, hikes, and entertainment on offer too.

This is definitely a Chocolate Orange lovers paradise. Confidently dubbed "the first of its kind" by Club Med, this limited-edition hotel room is bound to be popular. Subject to availability, you can book it this Christmas for a ski holiday in the French Alps this Christmas.
